The National Commission for Human Rights, in partnership with Shirkat Gah, organized a roundtable consultation to support Pakistan’s Sixth Periodic Report under the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW). The consultation brought together key stakeholders, including the Minister for Social Welfare and Primary and Secondary Healthcare, civil society representatives, and gender experts, to review Pakistan’s progress, identify gaps in implementation, and contribute to the development of a robust alternate report reflecting the lived realities of women across the country.
